Weekly Golf Tips

In the early Fall and Spring it is a necessity for the grounds crew to aerate the greens on the golf course. As a result, it can make putting more difficult. Here are two tips to obtain better putting results under these conditions. 1. Before each putt (even the one foot putts.), mark your ball and clean it as well as your putter head. Just a small grain of sand on the ball or your putter can make the ball jump off the putter blade in the wrong direction. 2. After marking and cleaning the ball, you do not have to place it back in an aerated hole. You can place it at the nearest spot not nearer the hole that avoids the situation.
